Heads buzzing looking at different makes and reading all the reviews.

I have just sent back my second Tacx Antares rollers to Wiggle due to the bearing working loose again.

Wiggle have been first class and refunded me straight away.

I have narrowed my next roller to one of these below (hopefully)::

Tacx Galexia if the bearing design is better than the Antares, I am only considering Tacx again due to the floating design.

Elite Arion Parabolic Rollers, they get good reviews, I may even consider the V-Arion for the resistance

CycleOps Aluminium Rollers, seem to be good build quality, although they don't seem to have the safety feature to stop your front wheel from coming off the side of the frame.

Anyone any comments on these rollers?

Thanks

Hi, I have the elite parabolics, they have been fine, I've had them a while now and you can get a good workout with them. If you find them a bit easy, let a bit of air out of your tyres, makes it harder if that's what you want, The raised sides are useful initially but once you are used to them you don't notice them at all.

  • Thanks for the reply fixie71, I was more than happy with the work out on my Tacx so I would imagine the Elite will be at least as good if not better.

I am heading towards ordering the Elites, I am going to have a wee think about it over the weekend then take it from there.

    Cheers again
  • Thanks for this post, I was on the look out for a winter trainer but now even more so to help recovery from fractures on both arms 2 weeks ago.

Elite looks good and decent price as well, seen them as low as £159.

To make the rollers a far more versatile training tool, I strongly reccomend that you go for rollers with resistance.

E-motion rollers. You can buy them in the UK now.

(They're not cheap, but then, nobody on this forum buys cheap bikes)
