Clipless Accident

Yesterday after finishing work, I got changed and headed down to the underground car park to pick up my bike. As I was walking down several flights of stairs, my cleats slipped on the top step of one flight. I fell backwards landing on my rucsack and proceeded to slide down the stairs with my head bouncing off several steps. I'm just grateful I was wearing my helmet at the time!

Be safe out there people!

It was all witnessed by a lady who was exiting the floor below. She got the shock of her life and asked if I was ok. I skinned several knuckles cos I was wearing fingerless mitts! but my pride hurt most of all!

You need to get some clipless moccasin slippers, the shoes simply click into the insides of these. On the outside they are furry and slip-resistant, keep your tootsies warm on the coldest of days and look really cool too. In fact so cool, I suspect Dr Cool will be wearing some soon along with his Assos bibs and shades.
  • clear breach of H&S there what you should be lobbying for is a specialist stannah cyclist lift running like a min railway from your point of work to tyour bike.and rubber stairs just to be on the safe side when they forget to put 50p in the meter

glad you're only mentally broken by the experience

These things happen, you've just got to take it on the chin, ass, knuckles...
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
