Loojking round the opticians, I found a pair of carbon fibre rimless glasses for a bargain £747 (yes, really, and that's just for the frames, lenses extra). For just two thin arms and a nose bridge, I reckon weight for weight that values my carbon frame at about £85,000

Then my steel frame must be worth a fortune!

    Sheesh.

My Oakley and Police glasses (2 pairs) with lenses were a fair amount less than that. Titanium frames are much less. Someone is pulling our legs, even more than opticians do generally for us short sighted gits !

Carbon fibre is the perfect material for glasses, which other provides the lateral stiffness and vertical compliance the bespectacled gent so sorely desires?

And don't forget about the vibration damping.

Are they for indoor use only?
Do they not melt in the sun or with prolonged exposure to UV, do they need suncream to protect them from UVA & B and how do you stop it getting on the lenses?
