I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd have made them ride it after last year

They'll have to hopw the route is a bit more gentle than the last few years.

I thought they were not allowed to travel on a rest day. UCI rules meant they had to be based in one location.

Didn't know that, but in any case, I'd want a day off after that. They'd propbably need the extra time to get all the gear sorted? I assume that would travel by road?

Wonder if that's why a TTT is on after the rest day - the TT bikes can be in Italy already and the riders will only do an hour.

Good thinking, it gives them an extra days buffer if there are any problems with the road bikes.

Would an Italian have thought of this though
