Just got one of these not used it properly yet.

Just wondering if I start of a pre planned ride, not from the start point, will it always direct me to said start point? Or can I pick it up from somewhere else in the ride? I was thinking about trying someone elses route but don't want to have to ride to their house to do it :?

  • if its anything like the garmin, it tells you you're off the chosen path with a few beeps, and picks up the route at any point you join it. So i guess no need to go your mates house, although it might be handy for a piece of toast and a cup of tea.

If you are riding off route, you can press the i button to get it to recalculate the route - this will take you to the next waypoint you haven't visited. So, really (I think!) you need to (as Cleat said) use the map to ride to your chosen route point and then get it to recalculate.

Mind you, easy enough just to replot the route usually anyway!
