storage?

hi all,just wondering i keep my bike under the stairs upside down does this do my forks any harm? especially if its been a couple of weeks just that when i push down on the forks they seem dead responsive and ramp up abit but then settle down?? thanks

  • Your forks are obviously not leaking, or you would have mentioned it, but it seems as if it's nothing more than a little sag, if they're air forks, you can adjust that with air pressure.

    Personally I never store bikes upside down as I don't believe that inverting the forks for prolonged periods of time is good for the seals

    A few months back I was given a Cove Handjob hardtail that had been stored upside down for quite some time and the fork seals (RS Sid) were leaking when I received it. As I know the owner and history of the bike, I can only attribute the problem to the way it was stored
