Hi again,
Looking for a bit of advice.
I posted an advert at work looking to see if anyone was loomking to sell a mtb, my budget around £350 for the right bike, a colleague has offered me one of these for around £400, perhaps less than that.
Does anyone know it these bikes are/ were any good. It appears he bought it 18 months ago and has hardly used (bought on a whim!).
I am aware that they are about 5-6 years old.
From the pictures i've seen and the small amount of spec i've read - it appears to be a bit of a steal, obviously dependent on condition though.
Any opinions, advice as to whether it's worth the plunge would be hugely appreciated.
I have a couple of other offers too...
A 2003 Specialized Rockhopper disc (blue) £200 , awaiting specs, details.
A GT Aggressor for £220
Otherwise, I am watching on ebay a Carrera Fury 09, the guy has had it around 2 years, weekend use - well looked after but hasn't had any parts changed. It had tora 318 fork.
Couple of other bikes i'm keeping an eye on.
I used to be into cycling alot but got into cars more, now wife is driving so I need my own transport. My Marin Muirwoods is just too outdated (although majority of components have been changed / upgraded) and I feel need a little more comfort. I can't take the bone shaking as I used to.
