SRAM Force GXP BB

Hi all,
Just picked up a SRAM Force Gruppo to go on best bike next summer and wanted to know what people thought of the BB?
I have read some comments that the standard "team" version supplied can feel a bit sticky so am thinking about an immediate upgrade to the ceramic version.
So - anyone had any issues with the team BB and has anyone upgraded to the ceramic BB and if so, was it a noticeable difference??
Cheers

I had my first one swapped under warranty at 330 miles. The replacement seems better but still does not feel that nice. Not really that impressed.
Just had another Force chainset put on another bike with a Chris King bottom bracket - wow, so much smoother and nicer, getting another one to put on the other bike.
The SRAM instructions talk about not using them in the rain, not much use in the UK!0 -
Thanks for that - what model was the chris king BB and from where? Its all sat in the box at the moment waiting for the build so I'd rather upgrade it now than wait and see then decide to change.

Just the standard one but after being impressed by the ceramic bearings in a set of wheels I am tempted to go that route for the next one. Even the normal one wont disappoint you though.0

Have sent my ceramic BB86 one back after the races rusted within 4 summer months (3,000) miles. Unimpressed to say the least.
Now have the standard team version. It may also rust, but at least it's only £25 to replace.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

I've used and had no issues with a standard GXP BB. Lasted about 10000 miles which isn't bad considering how cheap they are. Just replaced it with a Superstar components BB, which is also fine (apart from the fact that it's pink and not red as described).More problems but still living....0

I had a truative one with my boardman that was fine but wore our after about 8000 miles. Replaced it with a Team one which seemed better out of the box, you'll need to talk to gizmodo for updates though.
My Rhigos came with a square taper, old skool! A bit heavy but I can't see any point in replacing it for now.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

covered 4000 mils this year on a standard GXP BB with a Force chainset - mostly decent weather but not all. No issues I can tell and looks good for a long while yet. Put Tacx ceramic jockey wheels in my horrible squeaky Force RD and they have been brilliant. Will consider ceramic for the replacement if I'm feeling flush when the time comes....Your Past is Not Your Potential...0
