It was dark, and light and FUN

First FULL commute in the dark this Autumn and it was great :D

I'd forgotten just how much extra room you get when you're lit up properly.

I've got a Hope Vision 1 & Vision 2 on the front (level 3 set on both)

& a Cateye LD610 (flashing) with LD1100 (steady) on the rear (brand new batteries in both)

I didn't get one full beam blinding incident on the way in, cars waited to pull out, I got loads of room from cars overtaking - it was bleeding blissful. The lights worked brilliantly out in the countryside - long miles of completely unlit stretches mean I need to SEE, not just be seen and they really do work well.

Oh, and the warm morning start with quiet roads.... that was just marvellous. AND it was too dark to see the speedo, so it wasn't even taken out of standby... didn't care about the speed I just cycled in.

Roll on the Winter! :D

It is great, I love cycling along in your own pool of light. The feeling of separation from the environment on quiet roads I find very relaxing.
