Campag 11 speed shifters with Shimano 9 speed derailleur

Will this work - I have heard that it will?

I have broken my right hand 9 speed ultegra shifter

and the response was that this might work.

Is that the case, and does anyone know if it is hard to set up?

    Should work with an 11 speed ergo lever.

    Also, if you use a pre 2011 10 speed, that should work with a hubbub connection (connect the cable to the wrong side of the rear mech cable clamp).

    I think that the 2011/12 10 speed levers have the same cable pull as 11 speed, so they might be a good option. As 10 speed levers will be cheaper than 11 speed.

    You might also need to get new cable inners for Campag as the ends of Shimano cables may jam.
