Just seen these. I have to say I am tempted to buy some but I think somebody else on here, somebody with more money, should be a guinea pig and report back.

Interesting, even if they do look a little bit like the laser leveller things from Homebase. Could be pretty cool though, so give them a go and report back.FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0

These look very cool indeed.
I don't know how effective the lasers will be, but they still rate very high on cool factor. Rechargeable too.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

It's a brilliant idea...
...if you want to give motorists the impression that's how much room they should give you.
I'll pass, thanks.0 -

Would work great on public transport too. No more invasions of personal space.0 -

Hadn't thought of that. Think I'll just get the Exposure Flash/Flare set up.0 -
No laser but for £7.50 delivered if you use lights with 18650s just get a Philips Luxeon red LED torch from DX.

As you can see it lights up the ground, the back of the bike and my legs as they rorate, runtime is about six hours. It creates a metre wide red zone, is the brightest red light I have ever seen when set to reflect off the rear brake caliper and despite having no protection from spray is 100% waterproof.
The pics don't do it justice, the back of the bike looks like it's aflame at night.

tbh I would like a laser but I'd get five red luxeons for that money'nulla tenaci invia est via'

Hmm - how does it attach? Can't see a bracket on the website.0 -
The light is attached with spares from my cycling bits collection, you'll probably have the same extra bits knocking about or you can buy near identical rubber or velcro holders from DX or Fleabay.

I have just had some sent over to test and am picking them up this evening - I'll let you know what we think when we've tested them. (I run thebikelightshop.co.uk)0

Well at midnight I'll be riding home with the light still shining merrily away, I have altered the fitment and it shines up onto a seatpack the underside of which is silvered.
This set up works even better, it is not 'in your face bright' but it gives the impression a small sun has gone supanova on the road ahead even from half a mile away.
I get the widest berth from other motorists now, I think they fear their paint may be burnt away should they pass too close.
You should not use this light when riding with others.'nulla tenaci invia est via'

I've got a white one of those Ultrafire lights on the front of my bike. I don't use it on full very much as it's very bright. I can imagine how bright that would be on the back. I might get one.0
-
do they have one that has a flash mode?0
-
Probably, my white version in the same body has 5 modes: low, medium, high, flash and SOS. Even if you bought a multi mode white one as well as the red one it wouldn't be too dear and you'd just swap the tail cap over as that seems to be where the switching gubbins seems to be.0
