Anyone else trained as a Breeze Champion? http://www.goskyride.com/breeze
Lots of fun, and a good way to introduce your mates to riding

There are still a few training courses left - and it gives you a British Cycling Level 1 qualification for free

I applied to take part in one of these courses (and got an email back saying that they would be in touch) but never heard anything :?

Maybe they don't want me

I was totally up for it as it seemed like a great way to get more ladies into cycling!

  • I'm sure they'll be in touch when there's a course in your area. Breeze is proving so popular that the Admin team must be rushed off their feet!
  • Breeze would work alot better if they had sorted out routes before they ask people to start leading rides in that area.
I've not been impressed so i've not done any rides this year. But i'll start next year when the weather starts warming up again. After i've assessed routes.
An their sizing for the jacket and t-shirts are small so again if your not a - 10 they wont fit. A large came as a size 12.

I know this is an old thread, but I have finally managed to sign up for a course to be a 'Breeze Champion'. I like the idea of getting more ladies out on bikes, and with the New Forest on our doorstep I reckon we are in a pretty good spot for it too! The downside is that due to a busy diary i'll be doing the course in Oxford (and not Southampton) but hey ho :?

    Anyone else doing this?

Excellent! The training is really good fun, and I've made some lovely new friends through Breeze :D

Cool, I'm really looking forward to it actually! I am always whining about the lack of ladies biking, so this is my opportunity to put my money where my mouth is (metaphorically!)!

I had the same as you, applied for the course on two occasions now but had no comeback.
    Will give it another go!

SJ - it took me ages to get a place on a course

I ended up doing an off-road endorsement with British Cycling too, to offer Breeze rides on the cycle tracks in the New Forest. My problem now is that I can't find another Breeze lady to help me with them (and for various reasons I think it's better with two people)
