  • A pair of Cannondale baggies, circa 1991. To this day they are the comfiest pair of shorts to ride in.

Pretty rubbish off road. These days only gets used as a pub bike and for school MTB club rides - still stays ahead of most of the teenagers.
And the odd (very odd) Retrobike run.

Just been sorting through my rucksack ready to give it a hose down to get it clean for once and I have just found a 3 year out of date gel in a pocket I had forgotten I had. Should be good for another couple of years I reckon

Karrimor panniers (large and small) from 1983
Tyre levers, hex key tool, dumbell spanner - probably even older

Until 2007 my regular bike was largely original and dated to 1983 - creeping obsolescence, 27" wheels and a frame that had been brazed up on four different occasions eventually sent it on its way

Really good to see so many people still have some old stuff, be it for nostalgic reasons or just the fact that it still works so why replace it.
i won't feel as bad tomorrow at gisburn now if i decide to wear the old Hardnox leg armour

@markmjh - Flexstem and mighty Biopace chainrings. Flexstem is OK - has a fairly hard rubber that is still works so just absorbs a bit of buzz.
It's the brakes that are really rubbish, especially after getting off the real bike with discs.

@AMcK - no just the one in the middle. Some nice old bits in there though, one on top is a Ti Ibis with 'spring' built into the frame.
