Haha made me laugh,i was only thinking about it a few days ago.
  • I am amazed at how many people have not played this game! I lost alot of hours when that came out.

New one is not as good sadly

Every time I go back to this game I like it even more.

    Just started playing it again.

I literally can't wait to get home and play it again now.

Even got the theme tune stuck in my head.

Noticed that this time round, after doing a lot of NSF killing in the first level, Malachy the boss seems really angry at the world generally, rather than friendly.

That made me chuckle as I did reinstall it when I heard a new one was coming out. Best FPS game ever. 2nd best game ever behind Super Mario World on Snes...

    Do it.

    Challenge yourself.

    No direct kills whatsoever.

    Proxy kills are permitted.

Edit: Speaking of which, NapD's post rate is 4073 per day.

It's a maintenance man conspiracy, for sure.

I played the sequel, Invisible War, and wasn't impressed enough to try the original. That was possibly unfair given that IW was clearly designed for consoles, but Deus Ex was already looking a bit dated by that point.

That would be HL2, imo. Don't want to split hairs, but wasn't Deux Ex something of a rpg/fps hybrid i.e. skills based rather than twitch gameplay? It's a matter of personal preference, but I've never found that sort of combat satisfying.

Yeah, HL2 was bloody great. I loved the first but it went daft at the end.

It's hard work all this posting. Especially from a smart phone. I've got blisters on my fingertips.

Is HL2 worth finishing? I got halfway but then installed the free CS:S that came with it. Never touched HL2 after that!

Yah, for sure. IIRC, in the final levels you only have the gravity gun, but powered up. The add-on episodes are also worth playing.

HL2 is a superb game, it has some oddball moments, but the great bits make up for it, I loved the bit where you play 'fetch' with Dog.

If you don't already ahve it, get The Orange Box, as Portal is a great bit of fun too.

After completing Deus Ex, i gave away my tv and PS2 because I knew that things would never get better than that which I had just experienced.

Deus Ex was and still is one of the best games ever made.

Whilst we are on a nostalgia trip

Another World has been released for the iPhone - best thing I played on my Atari ST

and ICO is being re-released for the PS3 - truly the most stunning/beautiful game i have encountered, if you have a PS3 then get this.

If you have dainty fingers (or a tablet) you can get the opensource transport Tycoon deluxe app.

    It's also a free download here: http://www.openttd.org/en/

The only stuff that's different are better designed AI, signals, vehicle management etc, and, sadly, not the original music,

Did the generator/warehouse mission last night (on realistic naturally). (<< you know, the one made famous by THAT PC gamer review...)

Decided to snipe my way through. Worked really well, No-one knew what had hit them.

Untill I used the GEP gun to blow the thing up from distance...

Sam Carter was annoyed enough with my deadly ways he refused to give me ammo afterwards. *sighs*
