Apolagies if this is in the wrong section!
I own a Klein Pulse from the late 90's, im in love with the frame, even now when comparing to friends bikes it is definitely lighter, stronger and still a quality product (15 or so years on).
Ive upgraded components gradually over the years to keep it up to date, but now the paintwork is beginning to look very shoddy.
Im now in the dilemma whether to respray or not, these bikes still bring a fair bit of cash to the right person, and need opinions on whether i should keep it looking old and battered but au natural, or bring it up to date and take away its identity.

hi, i update a 1999 Gary Fisher Paragon earlier this year.

Stripped the frame, powder coated white, bought some decals/stickers from eBay and then upgraded, wheels, disc brakes, seat etc etc.
    just the job.
  • One company

    Argos cycle refinish

They are a company in Bristol and very very good. will cope with most colours you want
    very competitive they repair too.

They are on the net just Google them.
they offer a carrier pick up and drop off service for I think around 20 quid and turn around is excellent.
    hope this helps

i had a local powdecoaters do an old frame of mine, £30+ vat including sandblasting the frame before. Perfect finish. Argos are great by all accounts but charge a lot more. You'd be surprised what may be local to you and offering a similar cheap service if you want a respray.
  • ^ This.
Just make sure you fill in the bottom bracket so no coating can get inside and on the threads, and the same with the seat tube and headtube. Then find someone local. As long as it isn't an unusual colour, they'll get it done quickly and cheaply.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
