You've left it a bit late, best to put preventative measure in place before the paint is rubbed off. But for next time, there are lots of products to help..
I use little patches of fablon (you can also the more expensive 'helicopter tape', but fablon is good enough. You can also get things like these:

Paint some nail varnish over the scratches.0 -
You can get stick on gel pads to stop the rubbing. I bought my last lot at Halfords.

I bought a set from from Halfords but I wouldn't again as the shapes are pre-cut and not many were useful - better to buy a roll or sheet and cut the shape(s) you need.0

Something like this is good: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Protective-3M ... 2eb7ccf147
You can also put it on the chainstay to prevent stone/chain chipping. Be careful not to get carried away and wrap the whole bike in it though!http://www.georgesfoundation.org

I've just covered my new baby in helicopter tape, I 've done the headtube and chainstay, have your cables rubbed anywhere else? I want to learn from your misfortune :twisted:Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car
Vitus Sentier VRS - 20170 -

Nothing that can't be wiped off fairly easily - maybe a bit of residue of the glue. Nothing to worry about.
Incidentally, I've used both fablon and helicopter type tape. The fablon seems less visible being thinner but it is less tough. I put some on the side of the chainstay which is often marked (never quite sure how) and within a couple of rides I had some scuffs in the fablon. The helicopter tape wouldn't have noticed it.
If paints already rubbed off it might be best to get the carbon effect patches - or use carefully cut discs of insulation tape.Faster than a tent.......0 -

These are good, a little pricey for what they are but seem to work, different sizes for brake or gear cables

Not convinced myself - they are still moving against the paint so unless they somehow shed grit that falls between them and the frame, I can't see how they can do anything other than reducing the problem (rather than eliminating it).
I've not tried them though. But then I wouldn't risk it!Faster than a tent.......0 -
They are very soft rubber, they actually tend to abrade in use and shed some small particles of rubber I think they will do the job, only had them on for a few months and seem fine so far, time will tell! Will report back next year!0

I've got jagwire versions of these - and they have caused problems and rub marks on my white frame - I'd go the route of helicopter tape next time.0
