am i doing something wrong? my back tyre seems to be always going flat recently or losing air really quickly, despite me changing the inner tube at least twice....... is this a fault with the tyre instead of the tube?? has this happened to anyone else?!

you still have the cause of the original puncture in the tyre."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Have you checked the tyre for what was causing the puncture before you change the tube? Check inside carefully - feel all the way round.I don't do smileys.

Have you checked for a puncture in the tube? If the tube has a puncture, have you checked the tyre in the same place to make sure there isn't something sticking through it? If you have something sharp in your tyre (e.g. a thorn) or some grit inside the tyre, then it will keep puncturing you tube until you sort it.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

Unlikely... if you remove whatever is sharp then you'll have sorted it.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

Or you could just remove the offending object from the tyre?
Just a thought...call me crazy."Coming through..."0 -
ill have a look and see if there is.0

ok thanks davewalsh, will check it all tomorrow., i hope its not anything to do with the tyre or rim.....0

Have a look - if it's the tyre will just be a little thorn or something or the tyre would go down straight away. Doubt it's the rim if it's just started happening. feel around carefully - you can feel things you can't see.
Take a look and if you can't find anything arrange to come out for a ride next weekend and I'll take a look.
The tyres are good, no need to change them. Until it gets seriously muddy anyway.I don't do smileys.

Right- what to do is, when you remove the inner tube be careful to keep track of where it was fitted- so that when you find the hole in the tube you can then look at the wheel and tyre in the same place and find if there's anything there. Slightly easier said than done, this, but not too hard.Uncompromising extremist0

and people wonder why some people line up the valves with the name/logo etc.
it makes this easier and faster to do."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Aye, absolutely. And doesn't take any effort to do, either.Uncompromising extremist0
