So this is my first build of a bike, let me know what you think. After trying a few TTs this year on my road bike, I gotbitten by the bug and promised myself a birthday present (evryone had to contribute..)

I really wanted to build and my original budget was approx £1200. However, things started to escalate having started off looking around for PX Stealth frames or a frame from Carbonzone, I ended up with a sweet deal IMO on a QR Cd01 frame.

In the end the below came together for a shade just under £1850.

The spec is a s follows:

Quintana Roo Cd01 Frame in small (2nd hand)
Vision Trimax Crankset (2nd hand)
Corima Aero front wheel (2nd hand)
Hed Jet 6 with a Powertap SL wired hub (2nd hand)
Profile Design CX1.5 bars (2nd hand)
ISM Adamo Road Seat
SRAM TT900 shifters
SRAM TT900 brake levers
SRAM Force front and rear mechs
KMC 10SL Chain
Hutchinson Atom Comps with Michelin Latex tubes

Oh, please ignore the bottle cage. Been let down by two shops now on an aero bottle, and I just wanted to bolt something on to take a test ride with it.

    Hmmm. Saddle tilt.
Bike looks good except for that. It'll force weight on to your forearms and affect the handling adversely. Try lowering it and lessening the tilt a bit?

I had a QR, got some good results with it. Good luck next season.

liking the colour combination, and I think you've put together a very canny build for that money

maybe a disc cover for the rear to top it off? one of the carbon ones from these guys

I used to ride with a disc cover for my powertap open pro. It was fantastic tbh. I also saw tests results that showed it to be better than a flat disc at a lot of wind angles.

I used to use a vittoria corsa evo with latex tube, great but not as good as a proper TT tub, so for me a 50mm tub with a wheel cover would be ideal for racing and TTing. :)
