Bontrager hub tool

Has anyone got the special little c spanner needed for getting into a Bontrager hub. There are four notches in one side which the tool is needed for to hold so you can then undo from the oterh bside and get access to the bearings. We have contacted Trek direct to ask for one but they wouldn't help and said we needed to go to the dealer - but we didn'tt buy the bike - it has come to us second-hand. The original owner said he didn't get the tool when he got the bike.

Our local dealer is not at all helpful and as we didnt buy the bike ourselves we'll probably get short shrift there - is it worth just finding one on the eb and asking nicely do yuo think?0
