Right guys.
Advice time - i have rather extensive wish list on various Internet bike outlets and what with winter coming and not a lot of money i need to get what is essential to get me through the winter.
So i have the following but i wont list models etc
Winter tights x 2
Mud Guards
Winter Gloves
Overshoes
Base Layers
Socks
Skull cap/Headband (not sure i need a skullie as head gets rather warm)
Buff.
Anything else that should be considered winter essentials? and what do i really not need?
Looking forward to my first winter - i am not bothered about getting wet - but need to stay warm on my 30 mile round trip.

Forget the skullcap, use a(nother) buff
Don't dismiss being wet so quickly, windchill from wet clothes will seep into you on a long ride & unless you've got drying facilities at work, climbing into damp clothes isn't a fun experience. A water repellent softshell does me as an outer layer for most of the time with a small packaway boil in the bag coat if it is absolutely hammering it down.0
