Whatever side of the PC/Mac/Linux divide you stand on this is a sad day. He made Apple the company it is today and whilst you may not like the products they are without doubt pioneers in their field. His products will have touched all of us in someway be it love hatred or just awareness. He will be missed even if not initially but for the ideas he will now never share.

Sales of polo necks go through the roof as world goes into mourning.
Can't say I believed in it all, but R.I.P.0 -
Not a huge Apple fan but I recognise his genius and contribution. I'm sure the world has lost an inventive visionary.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0

That came as a surprise
RIP to the man who started an empire from his garage in the 70's..0 -

Shame most of the successful apple stuff wasn't designed or thought up by Steve, and at least now they might rethink the ban on running Flash.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -
R.I.P.
As person above me posted, 95% of apples products were not thought up by Steve, but of course he gets the credit for being at the head of the company and presenting them. Definitely a loss, but not as huge as apple fans make it to be.0 -
Who had him in the sweepstakes?0
-
Credit to him and his return to apple for driving the idea that technology could be good looking.
RIP0 -
ObamaThe world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.
What a way to go. I probably be found 2 weeks later rigamortis on the floor of a council flat. :shock:DO MORE OF WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY0 -

I came on to go "Pancreatic cancer; there wasn't an app for that" and I was already beaten to it by hours. Ach well.
We've lost someone who has helped shaped technology in some cool ways. Tis a shameFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -

I see what you did there0 -
I heard that Steve Jobs was dead.....iCried. Hmm, too zune for jokes? You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
Think enough time has passed already. Bring them on. I'm sure he'd have seen the funny side of it.
Crazy things on TV though, people not leaving candles outside Apple shrines but iPads with animated pictures of candles!!0 -

What a load of bollocks! He was a bloody good CEO but he wasn't 'an inventive visionary' by any means.0 -
