yes, surprising similar to another thread ( :) ) but I am looking for a front light that fits on a helmet and will help me see things like my computer and audax routecards, etc. I have decent lights on the bike, just need something a little extra when cycling in pitch black backroads (where you cannot see your hand in front of your face).

The Topeak headlux looks to do the biz? Not looking to spend more than £25 ideally and I would prefer nothing too Heath Robinson.

Many thanks...

Spent all of £4 at Tesco buying the activequipment micro LED lightset.

Removed the wire keyring loop and threaded the elastic loop through the lights for security and now have them mounted on my helmet. Pulsing, flashing and constant modes available and it seems quite a bright led for such a cheap setup.

Runs off two CR2032 batteries so won't be much to replace them either.

Haven't rain tested them yet, but felt it was worth a £4 gamble to get extra high level lighting and they weigh next to nothing.

Any slim torch with a universal rubber/Velcro helmet mount would do the trick. I got one of the floodlight bright ones from dealextreme (900lumens allegedly). With the mount, lithium batteries and charger they came to about £25. Take a little while to get delivered from Hong Kong, but I reckon you could pick one up from eBay easy enough.
