Shimano Deore crank set

Right this might sound stupid to some people but I need to change my Deore LX crank set, the number stamped on the side of the crank arm is FC-M580, will a Shimano Deore FC-M590 fit? My bike is a 2009 GT Zaskar Expert, (money is a bit tight at the moment hence the drop in spec) Thanks in advance!
