First cyclocross race - Bogghart Hole Clough?

I am planning to have a go at a cyclocross race later this month. I have never cx before but have a cx bike and some knobbly tyres.
My goals are to have fun and not get in anyone's way!
Is this a good as any place to go for my first cx race?
Any tips? Any carrying/mounting skills I need?
I am normally a roadie cycling about 80-100miles a week.
Thanks.

Just get stuck in. Never raced this course, regardless you'll have fun.
I'd practise dismounting and mounting, carrying, running with bike, hurdling, off camber turns, traversing a slope, descending while braking heavily. All will feature in cross races at some point, if not your first, then soon after.

The wheelers are doing cross specific training at the mo. Check the website.0

Rode at Boggart Hole Clough years ago - lots of black mud and long grass from memory.
Hard, but good fun. Do it and enjoy0 -
Thanks for the feedback and encouragement!.
