How to transport flowers on a bike?

Yeah, Mrs B'day tomorrow.
Do you know any methods of transporting mid/large bouquet for about 10 miles, so it still looks reasonably nice?
I've got a rack and medium pannier. Don't know, maybe some tube made of cardboard? Have you got any experience with such an extreme scenario?

Yup, 'twas my anniversary on the 15th and I was struck with the same issue. Only answer is to ride one-handed with the bouquet in the crook of your left arm.
....and smile at all the ladies you pass.....FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

I do this regularly, I stick the flowers in the rear pannier and get wide overtakes.0

paniers and take it nice and easy seems to work fine, going though Bushy park holding them and smilling at ladies also works!0

Or a local graveyard near you0

Surely a nice wicker handlebar mounted basket is de rigueur for transporting flowers on a bicycle!Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

I tend to hold them upside down in my left hand and only use the right shifter. Smiling at ladies of course, lots of smiles back if carrying flowers. Without flowers they just threaten to have me arrested.0

Grasped firmly between the teeth, riding with cape and hat firmly in place.

phone local florist, explain problem, get them to be waiting 100yards down the road with the biggest bunch of flowers they can come up with. Pick them up then free wheel the 100 yards and let the wife wonder in awe how you did it......--

I have done this a couple of times, the flowers stick out of the side of the Super C0

For normal bunches I don't bother with any extra protection - just pop them in an open pannier. But when I have transported orchids in a pannier I used a dog e-collar (one of those cones to stop pets scratching themselves) over the flower heads and medium-thick card-board around the pot and stem.0

Zip tie one each to as many spokes as you have; arrive in a graceful sideways broadslide across the living room carpet stopping inches from her [now open] mouth and kiss her. She'll love you tons for it, and never ever forget the moment.0
