I'm after some Bibshorts, and these two are both £60 in Evans. Any recommendations or experience to share on which are better? I'm after something that'll be comfortable for 3 or 4 hours riding.

Thanks

Ben

  • I have the prestps. They're alright, nothing spectacular though. I bought medium but I'm usually a small, just out of interest. Not tried the other pair

I have the Prestos. Very happy with the fit and the pad but I'm not too impressed by the quality of the lycra material itself. On the very first ride I ended up with bobbling (is that a word?) on the inside of the right thigh when no other shorts have ever done this. I only hope they don't continue to wear through too quickly.

The scorpian logo has also come off the rear of the them through normal washing (in line with the guidance).

I would probably buy again if I could get a good price as the fit was perfect but only if I could get a good price.

No idea on the gore shorts though.

    +1

Poor quality but the pad is excellent.

Mine has also had stitching come undone on the straps and pad.

I would not recommend due to the quality issues.

thanks, thats very useful. Might pay the extra tenner for the next model up then
  • With tights weather just around the corner it might be best to wait a little while until the shops reduce the price of shorts in stock to make way for next years range.
Just for interest i have been using Gore Xenon bibshorts this year. Great!!

  • If you arent happy with the quality of lycra take them back to the shop you purchased them from and get them warranteed. Simple.

The pad is far superior to others at that price though and the kiss3 pad in the free aero's is incredible...

i think you'll find the progetto x2 pad in the free aero's  its the kiss3 pad in the presto bibs.

if you can push to £90 you can get craft elite bibs

I can't compare, but I've been more than happy with my Gore Power bibshorts - very comfortable up to eight hours - material and workmanship seem good, and the pad, though not very thick, sits nicely where it should.

Briantrumpet- Loving the fact that on your supersix you have a Cannondale bell. I insisted they put one on when I bought mine- I think they thought I was the bell!

Thanks for all the advice Guys, have gone for the Gores, mostly because they had my size in stock and I figure a decent fit is half the battle.
