Well after much debate I've finally got round to ordering my bike and thought I'd take the time to actually join the forum since this has been a fantastic resource when researching what bike to get.
I eventually settled on a Cannondale CAAD8 Tiagra, had my fitting and just waiting for it to arrive now.
I've ridden MTB's on and off for afew years and after following the TDF through the Pyrenees this year I wanted to make the jump to the road, I have set myself a goal of riding the Northern Rock Cyclone next year as I know for my running days that I'm far more likely to put the hours in when I have a target to aim for.
So thanks to the forum for the help it's already provided me as a lurker and hopefully thanks in advance for being gentle with me when I start asking stupid questions as a member.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain

Good work! The CAAD8 is a super nice bike, a friend just bought the exact same one in black/white and I do admire it (in secret, of course).
Enjoy the cycling and keep everyone posted with your exploits!0 -
