Shimano RS80's as every day wheels?

I have seen a set of Shimano RS80's come up at a good price secondhand and was wondering if they would serve me well as a everyday set of wheel, the only part that puts me off is the low spoke count.
I'm currently running Fulcrum Racing 5's and have been great with 1000 miles of commuting and weekend rides including the occasional nasty pothole

You do get that rather sick feeling when you hit an overly large pothole, and another chunk is taken out of the rims. And they will lose that shiny bling laquer finish sooner rather than later. Roll superbly though.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0
