Just purchased my 1st mountain bike, with winter on the way I wanted to keep my fitness up for my usual road cycling.

MARIN MT VISION PRO

Easton MG60 Headlock Headstock, Hope Hydraulic Brakes, Hope Disc Brakes, Shimano XTR Crank and gears, Marzochhi Bomber 2002 front forks, Monkey Lite carbon bars, Fox Float RL racing shock, Alien Carbon seat post, Ovation seat clamp, Hugi 240 Hubs, Mavic 717 rims, Panaracer Cinder 2.1 Tyres, WTB seat.

its about 4yrs old and i was wondering if I have got a good deal paid £500 a friend told me to buy a Marin.

If it doesn't fit and needs most the parts replacing, then no ;-)

However were great bikes in their day, and some nice parts on their (if in good condition).
  • I pick it up Wednesday, looking at the picture it does look in good condition. I would post a picture if i knew how to do it.lol

Just be careful as although the bike is 4yrs old it has a top end groupset basically all top end gear so you need to take someone with you who know's what there doing as if this bike hasn't seen a service for a while and to me seems to cheap.

Ask the guy for reciepts of service because if it's been abused and I don't mean scratched frame or dull paintwork thats nothing I'm talking of groupset worn, forks not serviced as like for like replacement your going to need deep pockets.

Personally I'd be suspicious of a bike like this going so cheap so ask lots of questions.
