Or more specifically on the main Bridleway over Chinley Churn from Chinley to Hayfield... someone has been putting large rocks in the middle of the trail...They've definitely been put there on purpose as some are like mini walls across the trail. I almost came a cropper on a recent night ride... I'm up there most days running with the dogs or biking and remove them whenever I can but, as there's obviously a nutter about, watch out for them.

Get it reported to the RoW office with as much detail as you can manage. Derbs are quite good at getting on top of this kind of s**t.

Many thanks for the heads up.
How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

  • Back again this morning... four in a row across the trail ten yards or so before the gate before the left turn to New Allotments... removed again and I'll be up there again this evening on the bike.
  • Probably some kids who think they are funny. Maybe carry the pieces out of the area, instead of just moving them to the side?

As clank said, get it reported, pics etc.
  • Reported with Grid Ref to Derbyshire CC and I'll keep moving them... Don't think it's kids as it's quite a climb to get up there... wooly hat brigade are the most likely culprits I think. Can't carry them off as it'd mean removing a good few kilometres of dry stone walls
