Help with shock mounts/bush

Hi All,
When lifting my bike (Whyte T120) a chap from my local ride noticed some play and suggested I replace my shock bushes. The play seems to be in the lower shock mount. I've tried tightneing pivots etc.
I've only had the bike 6months and it's my first full suss... is it normal that bushes would wear out this fast? I've done a little over 500miles.
Also I din't notice the play, so don't know how long it's been like that. Should I be worried that I've probably riden the bike with the play?
thanks for any help!

Seems rather quick! I'd have a word with the retailer.0

I think whyte do a lifetime warranty on either bearings or bushings which might be worth a look0

Yes I thought it was quick but I've not had a full suss before so didn't really know! I'll take it in to my LBS and see what they say.
As they have worn so quick, do you think I would be reasonable if I ask them to be fixed on warranty?
How long should I expect bushes to typically last? Or is this a 'how long is a piece of string' question?
When I bought it the shop did say that Whyte offer a lifetime warranty on shock bearings, but I suspect that this may not cover bushes...0 -
I'd expect a lot more than 500 miles.0
