Bought this pump nearly two years ago, the boast was that at nearly 200 strokes you would have a pressure of 100 psi which means that you are fairly safe in getting home after replacing an inner tube. Recently I had a puncture and made sure that the replacement tube had at least 200 strokes using the pump. However, once I got the track pump onto it at home, it registered only 20 psi. Since then I have tried nearly 500 strokes on an unflated tube in a tyre and can only achieve a pressure of 25 psi. I suspect there is an issue with my road drive pump although it is a mechanically simple piece of kit. I would be grateful for any advice.

I bought a couple of them in size medium but had to recently buy the large instead as I found that the medium just did not do the job (so I have wasted some decent cash). Tried a Topeak Morph from a friend...and realised just how good some of the opposition are (but they don't look so nice).

Topeak Road Morph is a top pump - not pretty but really really effective.

I reckon you have a problem with your pump or perhaps with the way you're connecting it to the valve? I have the same pump and find that the valve connection has to be done up tightly, but once on properly I can pump the tyres up to just over 100 psi without too much hassle, just make sure the valve is screwed on tightly and it should be fine, if it still won't pump to a high pressure take it back for a replacement as it obviously faulty. Hope you can get it working as I think they're really good little pumps!

I've got the Lezyne Pressure Drive mini pump, in medium. I've had no issues getting up to pressure when needed. Maybe a problem with your individual pump ?

I have had the lg road drive since it came out, now have two. I have no trouble getting 120psi in, they are truly great pumps. It's either user error or a faulty pump.
