The bike is due some new cables so I need a set of decent cable cutters.

What do you guys recommend? I want something half decent but don't want to spend a fortune!

  • cheap ones from halfords/B+Q.
  • I've got some XLC ones from my LBS and they're very good indeed. They were about £22 and they're almost identical to the ones which pedros make for over £30

    Record WC6.
There are various copies, but none are quite as good.

This. As soon as they are 'specially' for bikes, the price triples.

+1. Avoid any "bike specific" kit when there is a DIY alternative.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

I got some off ebay for £6, done 3 bikes with them and still working perfect. They were listed by the same seller as "cable cutters" for £6 and then "Bike cable cutters" for £15 . . .
