morning

Just made a cup of tea and moved the 3 empty bottles of wine out of the way, which explains why I wanted a cup of tea so much

Just watching moto gp with the kids, but the rest of the day is revision :(

Yesterdays 9 mile ride with my 6 yr old and my brother and his 9 yr old contained some impressive wheelies by me, right up to the point I landed a one handed wheelie by going over the bars

    M'ning,

Just woke up so brew in hand and bacons in the pan. I'm slowly waking to full compusmentus whilst watching the Ireland vs Italy game which so far is looking like a really good game. Later will consist of a quick blast and moto gp!

  • Greetings Maggots,

Up at ten after a late night due to watching movies.
Right now, sipping on a jug of tea, then load up and go to Cannock in a while
Breakfast will comprise of crumpets with Marmite
Weather looks a bit overcast out today, but it's warm, so perhaps the sun will break through the clouds later.

Jay12, Maple syrup & bacon! Sounds like an interesting combo..

Good fun those rollers on the last part of the Monkey: I managed a little trip off piste last time, but not until nearer the bottom. Some of those slopes are quite steep if you mess up and go off the trail.

Did you do the black route options, the first one i did woke me up some what, then the last one i did not long after i converted my bike to single speed was a lot more fun

Nope, was starting to cramp up a bit round the Monkey so I kept it on the red, but may give them a go on Friday if I'm in the mood.

dont slow up to much as you need the speed to carry you over

Do you mean the woodwork bits - which I'm crap at - or the steeper sections (there was one where you turn left just before those little rock gardens that are on the red) ?

not the woodwork bits, there's some big step downs and very large rocks, but what made it tricky was the switchbacks straight after.

OK, will see if we decide to give it a crack this week. My little off piste trip was due to a silly f**k up coming into a switchback too fast :)
