can a sram cassette be used with a shimano chain? i know there are certain compatability issues with these two brands but im unsure which you cant use.
I would also like to invest in a half decent chain, i was reccomended something from KMC but again im not sure of the compatabilty issues, if you have any experience on this matter i would like to hear you input,

Front mechs can be mixed to your hearts content (SRAM front mechs will also work with Shimano shifters). Rear mechs there are 4 different pull ratios:
- Shimano 9 speed MTB and 10 speed road
- Shiamno 10 speed MTB
- SRAM 9 speed
- SRAM 10 speed road and MTB
Your rear mech and shifters need to match.0
