Canfield Brothers The One
6.5" or 7" for AM / freeride, or fit a longer shock for 7.5" / 8" for DH. Apparently pedals well acording to MTBR... If only I'd worked harder in school... Best get saving and break it to the Mrs she can stop being so damn broody!

Sweet, nice and tall with ample BB clearance too
So, ideal for DH, Freeride and even as an AM bike too! Plus it's fairly light for such a long travel bike
Not exactly cheap, is it available in the UK, or are you going to import one yourself?0 -
Where do you see a BB height? Tall isn't a good thing in a DH bike.Uncompromising extremist0

One bike to rule 'em all hey?

pfft, if I had the money for them three, it ain't where I'd be spending it
multi purpose bikes really tickle my proverbial, even though they aren't specialized enough to be fantastic in any one genre.0 -
Multi use bikes are awesome, no need to switch parts around, or have extra bikes for one purpose, just hop on and ride whatever genre you want.0

But only an all mountain bike can ride all of the mountain, it says so on the tin! I sit on your face, I mean I rest my case.0

It is very nice and all, but I can't help but see a slightly prettier Orange 5... maybe it's the slight kink in the top tube, or the low stays....
Please say it's not just me seeing this?!0 -

So I took it DH0 -
I thought it was a new frame, but the image above is the old straight tubed one, the new one looks like this;
Looks a bit gopping to me... like anything made by specialized atm.0 -
It looks about as stiff as a pensioner's erection.0

Most importantly, it's not just another Specialized, so you won't look like one of those dozens of "We're so Special as we ride a Specialized Crew"
I see they have a UK for Canfield, I may pop an email over to see what they want for that frame as I am looking for a new build myself and am on the cusp of buying a new Felt Compulsion frameset0 -

The 'one bike for all' idea is impossible as it contradicts the MTB constant. n+1.
I have no idea why I think this as I'd probably sell a relative to have a Canfield, but that first pic reminds me of a catalogue shop special :? No idea why!Santa Cruz 5010C
