i always carry my wallet apart from when im out for a run. when commuting my wallet is normally somewhere in my bag easier for the medics to check your wrist than it is for them to go through your bag.

I guess the main thing is I don't consider the risk high.
me neither until i was hit by a car and in the resulting mess found out i was lethally allergic to penicillin. that and if the accident had been much worse i wouldnt have been able to give the medical response team any info.

The thing is, when I'm on the bike I might not have my wallet with me. I will if I'm commuting (buried in a backpack) but not if I'm MTBing or just out for a road ride.

    Is this serious?

So your coming down a hill at 30mph, and you have to slow for a roundabout, what are you meant to do then?

You have to sit up and unfurl the cape to act as a giant wind break.

Or release the chute from under the saddle eh :D

Grappling hook round a lamppost is a great way to get round corners without slowing down.

I pretty much leave it on all the time. That's not a conscious decision to make sure I can be IDed, it's just that it's easier to keep it on all the time.

I have no ID in my wallet which has telephone numbers on it, only my address.
