Route Advice - Harrow to Thornton Heath

Hi Folks,
My current commute takes me from Harrow to Westminster which is a perfectly reasonable 12.5miles. I'm now considering a the possibility of a job in Croydon, and can't help thinking that doing this on bike is going to be a slog, but still quicker than taking the tube. Plus I know there are plenty on here who commute a lot further than this.
Anyway, I've cause to be in Croydon on Friday, so thought this might be an opportunity to try out a route.
Does anyone do anything similar?

Tried Harrow & Wealdstone to Croydon Main Line, suggests a route of 20 (fastest) to 24 (quietest) miles and relatively flat... its do-able...Invacare Spectra Plus electric wheelchair, max speed 4mph
