Which BMX

Hi,
I am looking for a half decent BMX bike for my 12 year old boy. Could anyone suggest a good starter bike that wont just fall apart or brake on the first jump ?
thanks in advance

The rule is the more you pay the better you get.

but yeah the more you pay....
frame and fork should be chro-mo 4130
brakes and bits are really cheap and easy to replace, the only real first replacement would be swiss stop pads, unless they go nu-school (brakeless)
just keep away from halfords, they may stock ok mtb's and road bikes, but sell censored that is termed as a bmx
but will last a good few years and fall apart
standard 250s profile hubs and crank

Or go for the 2011 WTP Trust which is a bargain reduced to £379.

Depending on where you live I would have no issues recommending winstanleys bmx in wigan, we have bought two from there for our son as he has worn them out over the years...they are mail order but actually built up four bikes for him to try out and get a feel for, he settled for something by 'fit' bikes

the service from them is excellent, i have no link to them but have no issue talking them up
