  • Interesting design but not sure we'll see it lighting up the peleton

  • Exceptionally striking look! Radical without radials. I wonder how the wheels grip around corners in the wet though.
  • I bet Park Tools have already made a tool to clean it.

  • Not very aerodynamic!

Guff says that the wheel is slightly bigger than normal to allow for the sprung part to give. But what happens when it isn't under compression - it'll hit the brake area of the forks won't it?
  • Hmmm, cornering, braking & adverse weather performance?
Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.

Form over function, its also SS. I notice there are other bikes there too designed by singers and other celebrities, can't wait until they start doing celebrity heart bypass surgery or the like.

But I don't suppose old Ron bothers about that as long as people are talking about him

    Nice !

You can pretty much guarantee that it won't catch on, but it's a nice piece fo design. I'm sure that it would rumbe a bit at low speed though.

As for the coments on cornering grip........... eerm.......... how about the equivalent of a tyre ? Perhaps a short section of rubber on each contact point ?

I don't care about brakes, cornering etc. I just want to hear what it sounds like!

    Wappa, wappa, wappa, wappa....
  • Johnny Hart did something similar in the 1970s with his BC comic strip. Thor the caveman invents the wheel, then invents an improved square wheel that's better because it won't roll away on a hill. His pal then invents a triangular wheel which is even better than the square one because it has one less "bump" each time it goes round.

Brilliant! Someone reinvents the wheel and you reinvent the tyre to go with it. What we need now is for someone to reinvent the rim.

What about the bike, cornering has dangers = four wheels.
    Get tired = engine
Get wet and cold = encase in a metal cage.

There you are  Oh it is a car, damn I thought I was on to something there  .
  • Nice looking, but I would prefer to have the 10 sets or so of 404's I could buy for the same cost!
