Bottom Bracket Help

I need to replace the BB on my bike. I have a 68mm thread with 116mm spindle. I want to buy a Shimano UN5 series but can't find one with a 116mm spindle. If I fited a 115mm spindle would the 0.5mm at each end of the axle make a difference and would I need to realign my front mech?
