To cut a long story short, I have broken the frame on my genius 20 and need a new frame...

i'm not buying another scott frame because they're as weak as piss...

I have looked at a few different frames with about 140mm travel including the following
chumba vf2
tomac snyper 140
turner 5spot
intense tracer vp

could someone tell me what they think about these frames??
thanks!!
My bike takes me places that school never could

  • Santa Cruz Heckler - tough, 150mm travel, all mountain purpose but relatively light, single pivot simplicity and cheap for what you get.

The Tracer is a sweet ride too!

My mate had a snyper - snapped it. But he's a big fella with very little finesse.

5spot and Chumba I know nothing about.

  • Intense / Cruz VPP suspension is the best ride I've ever had (from and Intense 5.5), but you'll find suspension characteristics a personal taste. I prefer the geometry of my Ellsworth Moment - 150mm bike that I fully endorse.
You can get Canny Prophet frames second hand for little money, and they ride brill too.
  • Transition Covert
    Yeti SB66
    Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
    Allround - Cotic Solaris
  • Personally i would have a Turner 5 Spot. Great right ups on the DW link and its a beautiful bike.

Have you also considered an Ellsworth Epiphany, Mondraker Dune or Cove G-Spot

i've been looking at a yeti 575 frame..
i rode one a while ago and it seemed pretty good...
you can get the frame with an rp23 shock or a dhx-air shock..
both are supposed to be very good shocks, does anyone know how the dhx compares to the rp23??
    cheers!!
