The Trek Lexa got a good write up in a mag I saw recently but I haven't heard anyone else mention it since:

The Spesh Dolce always gets good marks too. My wife liked it when looking for a bike last year but ended up with the Vita instead (which has now got panniers, Schwalbe Marathons and flat pedals, so I think she made the right choice)

Both come in around £650 but it is a good time to be looking for a 2011 bike with £100-£150 discount.

Then again, it would be worth trying a Spesh Allez as they are very good for the money. Not women's specific but I am not sure how many women fit into the generic profile.
  • Cheers for that.

    +1

I was looking for a bike for my daughter, she tried various WSD including the Dolce but settled on an Allez which seemed much better value for money. She absolutely loves it, not least because it's red and not lilac or pink with flowers on it! Even the bg riva saddle seems fine.
