cyclists in the blackwall tunnel

Are they allowed? have seen a few over the last few weeks on my way home (when on my motorbike) i always thought they were not allowed, looks bleedin dangerous legal or not!

    Yes they are, but you have to be the sort of person who would enjoy camping next to a nuclear reactor to venture in there on a bike. I'll only just go in there in a car.

    Isn't there a 10mph minimum speedlimit in there?
    Although I presume that's in the RTA (Speed Limits) that doesn't apply to non-motorised traffic.

  • I've been through the Rotherhithe Tunnel; never again. It was very polluted with dust and fumes. The footpath is also filthy.

  • I think the Rotherhithe Tunnel & Blackwall Tunnel are both officially no-go areas for cycling. It might be on the TFL website?

    Cyclists are definitely allowed in the Rotherhithe Tunnel
