Anyone running a fixie with QR hubs?
I run my SS mtb with QR and chain tugs and it has been fine - no slippage in the track for end. Thinking about converting my fixie to QR to save on carrying spanners!
Any thoughts? I need to shorten the axles by a few mm - the axles are already hollow.
Anyone done this?

I've done it in the past. Like you, I had a hollow axle and it worked fine- I used an old shimano QR, chain tugs and washers to sort the spacing out. It worked out fine and did save time when the inevitable happens.0

The Day One's wheels have allen-key release. I was quite pleasantly surprised by this, didn't fancy carrying spanners either.

Think that you will be fine, especially if you are running a tug on the driveside.0

I've got tarty Ti ones on the fixie, but the dropout design is effectively chain tugs on both sides.FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
Litespeed L3 for Strava bits
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.0
