Selle Italia SLR (XC?)

This seems a real bargain, and whilst it says "xc", this seems almost identical to the "road" version costing 2-3 time more.
I know I may be offending the roadie fashion police, but has anyone used this perch?

Thanks

I bought one for my MTB as the old saddle was worn, Looks very good cant test it at the mo unfortunately due to injury but i wouldnt be worried putting it on one of my road bikes!
although i do have an slr carbon and a slr flow. in terms of padding its inbetween the 2. The slr carbon has bugger all padding and the flow has a little.
for £40 you cant go wrong!0 -
Thanks.
I saw one in the flesh yesterday, looks good, as you say £40 a steal..0 -
Did you end up buying one? If you did, how do you like it??? comfortable? looks good?“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Yep, now sitting on top of a Scott CR1 Elite. On the looks department great, going well with the black and white look I am sporting this season.....
More importantly, I've been out on a couple of 40+ mile rides, and all good.
It replaced a Fizik Aliante, and is slightly narrower and longer, which it what i was looking for. Less "spongy" also.
Firmer padding is supportive. Need to take on a good 80 mile ride to really judge, but first impressions are good.
Obviously shorts are an important part of the comparison, and i've worn with Assos Uno and DHB Roubaix 3/4 knics.

Thanks for that... I just checked and it looks like I've left it too late and they're now out of stock.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”
