b/b sizing

rite at the moment i have a set of hallow tech cranks with matching b/b but cranks and chain ring warn, so want to replace but want to run 28t rather than 32t which is the smallest my cranks can take. im lookin at 3 peice cranks but not sure on axle size, would bmx 3 peice fit in to my hallow tech b/b x[/b]

A 3 piece crank will fit.

So whatever ring comes with the 3 piece crank.

You will need a B/B to match the crank.

my b/b is fine tho and ideally would like to keep it , so is the axle same size or do i need adapter or sumin x

Depends on the crank you want to fit! There are loads of types of BB out there. Many cranks come with the BB. You must look up what you want to fit.

As Sonic says, even aside from the actual mounting, which may fit, different cranks sometimes require different spindle lengths. I had a big chew on finding a BB for an FSA crank I've got. Currently I have a bit of string in there acting as a spacer..

Why can't you get a HTII crankset that will take a smaller ring?
