I'm looking for a new 29er but would like a 70 deg head angle or slacker and sub 12kg, bike to be used trail riding not xc racing

Thing is with 29ers, due to the longer fork, the offset is changed: this is why we tend to see steeper angles. A 70 deg on a 29er may equate to a 68.5 degree on a 26er.0

If you can put up with a 71 head angle I can recommend a Chumba HX2, built one up a month ago and the thing is just awesome for fast, techy trail riding. Takes drops and big jumps well too, you can get em in black silver or white.
