If you don't understand the geometry numbers there is no way anybody can say I am afraid.0

its a simple question! dont need smart arse comments! just need some advise from someone that knows what they are talking about.0

I'm 5'10 and sat on a few different frames today, got to agree much more than frame size to it found a 20" comfy in one style and an 18" good in another, although I may have to get a longer seat post.
If you can't sit on the exact one try to find the nearest lbs which has a similar geometry etc0 -
And a simple answer: we cannot tell you! If you can't try the bike out, or want to learn about geometry, then nobody can say. I'd have a read up on geometry and fitting and compare to your body measurements, or find a place where you can try the bike.
I have wrote extensive, published articles on bike fit: I know what I am talking about.0 -
thats fair enough, but am a bit long in the tooth to start learning geometry, just want to goin out on the enjoy goin out on the bike!
Cheers mak3m will try that.0 -
I ride 14, 17, 18 and 20.5 inch frames, it can be a nightmare lol! It will probably fit, but if you are long in the arm and the bike short you may find it too hunched. This is where looking at the effective top tube length comes in. Some 18 frames can come up larger than someother brands 20.
This is a guide on fit:

It is aimed at getting the correct fit when sitting on the bike ie saddle position, reach etc.0 -
cheers much appriecated!0
