Me shiny new Malt 3 arrived today - woohoo!!
Here are a few hasty camera-phone snaps of the new machine; I may be biased but I think it looks bloody lovely in white...
(Yes, I have since fitted some pedals!!)
Spec is thus:
Full SLX 10-speed groupset
SLX M665 brakes (180/160mm)
RockShox Recon Gold RL fork
RaceFace Ride stem & post, Evolve bars
Shimano MT15 wheels
Panaracer Fire XC Pro tyres
Just noticed this is the 2000th thread in this section; do I get some sort of prize?

looks rather ace !:) very smart with the white rims too! good solid spec too!
i likeGiant Trance X0 (08) Reverb, Hope Hoops 5.1D, XT brakes, RQ BC, Works Components headset 1.50 -
Smart looking bike Merlin Malt frames are the dogs danglies. I bought a Malt 3 frame in 2004 its now on its 4th owner and has had the crap beaten out of it for 7 years and is still going strong.
White looks good but white covered in mud looks even betterFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -
Thanks chaps!
That's the downside - it won't look this shiny for long - planning a trip to Dalby next weekend to give the new machine a good test run! Bring on the mud (although if I scratch/dent/crash it I'll be most upset!)<center>I\'m not schizophrenic, and neither am I.
